F.R.I.E.N.D.S... my Compeers from H.E.L.L :P :P 3:)

Friends: people who laugh at you when you fall in the middle of crowd, but will kick heck of the person who pushed you down.
As it is said in the foodie world, No ‘Dal’ is complete Without ‘Tadka’; so
if my life is 'Dal' my friends are the ingredients of ‘Tadka’ they give that extra ooph!! of flavor and kick to my bland Life; and as on this day when the world celebrates the grandeur of friendship, I would like to wish my buddies a very Happy Friendship Day… You guys are Chicken in my daily Dal Chawal diet, PBJ to my toast and Milk life. I am glad you guys made my life worth relishing as every day, I get to savour on delicious memories spend with you all…
and to cut it short HaPpY FRieNdsiP DaY to all.

This day, which gives Cadbury dairy milks' new advertisement a sense of reality, and people the liberty to choose among various flavors of chocolate; that somewhere rightly defines that every Friend adds a different flavor to Life, a day when every friend greets other with an old cute insulting name, or the post that flashes on the wall of friends of an ugly pic from childhood with a heart melting phrases,  a reason to celebrate the first time they met…and all the “badmashi” and “shaitani” together they did… a reason to smile and kick our besties with joy and hit them on head and hug them hard and yes thank God that they met us. May this Friendship stay just the same and how every celebration ends on food and sweets.

Here I thank all the stupid idiots who have been my partner in crime, and relive all the memories under a gracious banner and celebrate the rainbow of happiness and joy, just because of my crazy friends just a Sunday becomes a festival for me… and on this Sunday for friends… I want to start with my soul mates from hell and like Siso said to me today “aayiye yeh kahanai Lucknow se shuru kari jai…”

In the middle of busy roads of Lucknow somewhere in the heart of city as we walk through the residential area, of sector 21 inside the building with Red Bricks, the God has planned  dawn of a beautiful friendship, between two girls so crazy and stupid, but as each and every brick of the building still sings the legends of those two clumsy sisters from different mother, who gave Friendship a total makeover now it was time that kinship had new parameters to cross and as we all know it all started with a fall, somewhere in the front of the crowd… I guess we took the thought of “zameen se jude rehna” too seriously and that was three years ago and we have only looked back and laughed on how we met. The legend began… with the birth of Siso’s and their friends. That was the day and till this moment I can never thank Kanha Ji  enough to have blessed me with such good friends. Two years full of adventure but as we count down the time it just grew stronger than ever, and I found friends for life time and a sister that I never had.

Siso… bus naam hi kaafi hai; Or be it be the whining lady in Blue; Jhansi ki rani the beauty in yellow; My three musketeers so colorful; My golu molu swearing queen; Moma: a friend so caring; Beti pushpa always fun to be around, To the stories of “Grumpy Little Troll”…

Hot molten gold in plastic cups or the tea stall biscuits which we dunked into them; or that little ‘Chotu’ from canteen or the sumptuous sound of  “MADAM MAAIGI!” :D , those hot toasted buns with tons of butter or making Samosa’s in “Daddu ki shop” Or Canteen wali aunty ke “Parantho ka Swad”… hostel wali kettle ka soup that too in middle of the freezing Room,  Morning walk in  chilly winters, the endless chit chat of Room No 6… haunted stories of lady who committed suicide, Dancing like crazy to Punjabi lyrics or watching horror flick in the middle of the night. Life could not have been better, coz back then only tension was who will go and get tea from tea stall… and what biscuit do I want? Life that had all play no work… was certainly the best part. ^_^

Memories memories is all I have… I will keep them safe in my heart, I will smile when I am alone thinking of all the fun I had with you all. I can’t express how especial you guys are, how you dazzled my life, with beautiful sparkles of endless amazing memories of time spent together, MBA… it turned out to be one of the best phase of my life.

At end it was all tears and goodbyes and I had a new life waiting for me somewhere… so with goodbye on hand I travelled to far far land and said hello to the friendly strangers of a new city, My crazy ‘Splitsvilla’ devotee; Sandhya Bhabhi’s perfect tea and she being answer to all crazy outings, My die hard lover of ‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S’ ; to my beautiful… ‘kajal Girl’ ; Thu..sha..ra my sweet calorie sharing friend; and last but not least Sudha a new addition to our PG gang. I never thought in a city so new I will end up with all of you, can’t be happy enough as I sing out loud and party with you gals everyday and all night long, in a place when I felt sad and alone you guys made it feel just like home, you welcomed me into your life with a smile and lots warmth… and took me as I am crazy stupid and mad to be honest at last. Miles away from home and friends, I kinda found a new world of my own.

My first work place boring as hell I found "crazy cab buddies" so cool and fun, Switched to a new work place found a manager who became more of a friend, then how can I miss my Travel freak foodie gal and a new partner in crime, workplace became second hangout point. Never thought work could be so much fun, but I guess it takes right ingredient to make something exotic and rare. With you guys came an Asian twist to my French work life.  :P

The people with whom I went to school and people without whom my Grad school would have been so bore, My rolly polly “Rolly” or better known as “Ms Busstop1…” those three years I can never forget, a life filled with joy of food and adventures of “Two Scooty girls and Busstop 1 and 2” :D

This list is not complete without my first two best friends “khidki” and “chotu” my childhood pals. You guys taught me what a friend is… and what the meaning of friendship is.
You all are the best thing that ever happened to me, thank you for being there.

I guess, I am really lucky that I am still adding new friends to my existing list and am so bless that it just gets longer without any subtraction to the existing. People always ask me how long you have known that friend of yours and I just have one answer its not time that decides how good the bond is going to be it’s the memories you make together that make it strong and like “Joey from F.R.I.E.N.D.S. will say “Some people last forever and some just Stop lasting :D” just like that if it is meant to be, a day is enough to find your soul mate from hell just like I found mine in “Siso”. Some people will walk out as they finish their role and what we need to remember is what Joey said…lol :D :D and in spite of being sad when they leave we should be happy to look back to see who all stayed back… life is movie so keep your popcorn and nachos ready and do smile as you look back at it, because you never know what future holds for you in it’s sack… even happy meal comes with new range of toy every single time…

Every friend was a stranger once or sometimes just an acquaintance but it takes you to spend time with them, and what you end up with is a friend forever. So this friendship day I wish my friends from… Preschool…Junior high…high school… college…MBA.. to Job…in short All… a very happy friendship day…

My rocky road bar will be just a piece of dark chocolate without you all. Love you …Miss you… and yes at last HAPPY FRIENDSHIP DAY ALL. :) :) :) :D ;) 3:)

  2. Well, you should feel so lucky, Pragya....with so many people whom you miss and vice versa. Friendship is a religion and one, which has no conflict with any other religion. It is, actually supreme. The most selfless feeling ................and the most important.
